L’ús condicional evidencial reportatiu (CER) es restringeix al llenguatge periodístic i a gèneres formals, com ara l’acadèmic o el jurídic, i no és present en el discurs espontani en català. En aquest article s’atén el sorgiment del condicional com a marcador epistèmic i evidencial en contextos de represa en català antic (s. XIV-XVI), concretament quan el CER és introduït per un verb de percepció.
