Pain is a subjective, complex experience. It implies a great variety of psychological processes, more especially when it's a chronic condition (usually defined when it lasts longer than six months, although usually it must be measured in years). Pain can appear without biological damages associated or that justify it biologically. That's why the patient can be misunderstood by sanitary, family and social cues.
