This paper assesses the production of academic institutions in Spain, based on publications in a core set of highly-regarded mainstream Spanish journals of Economics over the period 1999-2004. The rankings are based on standardized page counts of articles published in these journals over the stated period. In the case of n joint authors, each author was assigned 1/n of the publication credit.
