We study the coupling effects in superlattices of few cubic and spherical quantum dots. The mag-nitude of the coupling between pairs is calculated as function of the distance between dots and it is compared with the bandwidth in chains. It was found that the nearest neighbor approximation is enough to take into account the magnitude of the coupling in this kind of systems.
