The main objective of this work is focused on studying and analysing the duality of franchise system. Particularly, to inquiry the variables that may explain the reasons that drive franchisors to use franchising as an alternative to own units. Secondly, to determine if latent class segments can be identified in order to explain the trust in the Spanish franchise system. That is to say, finding groups of franchisors whose explanatory variables have different relationships with the franchisee unit percentage.
