In 1994 Anastasio Rojo Vega published a list of books whose license for printing had been requested to the Consejo de Castilla. Althoug the researcher doesn¿t identify it, the fact is that the name of Francisco de la Torre who had asiced permission to publish his poetry in 1588, was included in that list. So we have reviewed some hypothesis about this XVI century poetEn 1994 Anastasio Rojo Vega publicó una lista de obras para las cuales se había solicitado licencia de impresión ante el Consejo de Castilla; dentro de esa lista, aunque el investigador no lo identifica, se encuentra Francisco de la Torre, que pidió permiso para publicar sus poesías en 1588. A partir de este hecho se revisan aquí algunas hipótesis sobre el poeta del XVI
