Este trabajo muestra las relaciones entre las organizaciones de mujeres y el desarrollo rural en Cuetzalán, México. Se discute el modo en que la mujer nahua transforma los roles de género tradicionales en términos tanto discursivos como prácticos. No obstante, no todas las mujeres experimentan este proceso. El artículo muestra cómo una perspectiva de género en las organizaciones de mujeres contribuye al cambio de las actitudes y la conducta de las mujeres.This work shows the relationship between women's organizations and rural development in Cuetzalan, Mexico.
