Análisis de contenido: posibilidades de aplicación en la investigación educativa

Content-analysis technique has proved to be a suitable methodology for initianing postgraduates in research tasks which would sometimes end in the writing of the PhD. The range of topics to be analysed is very rich and diverse: texts books from different educational levels and learning areas, school resources and materials, written and ludic press, new technology, advertising, interviews, field notes, songs, etc. The accurate use of this technique allows the hidden aspects of the message to be showed, the content size and variables to be delimited and a category system housing the different parts of the message to be established. This paper points out the possibilities and the achievements reached with the aplication of this technique. I gathers a sample of products with different level of complexity: initianing works, consolidation works and works ending in a PhD.La técnica del análisis de contenido resulta una metodología muy adecuada para iniciar a los alumnos de postgrado en tareas de investigación, trabajo que, en ocasiones, culmina con la elaboración de la tesis doctoral. La temática, objeto de estudio, puede ser muy rica y diversificada: textos escolares de distintos niveles educativos y áreas de conocimiento, recursos y materiales escolares, prensa escrita y lúdica, nuevas tecnologías, publicidad, entrevistas, diarios de campo, canciones, etcétera. La utilización rigurosa de esta técnica permite adentrarse en los entresijos del contenido, delimitar sus dimensiones y variables y crear un sistema categorial que permita ubicar las diversas partes del mensaje en la categoría correspondiente. El trabajo presentado es una muestra fehaciente de las posibilidades y logros obtenidos mediante la aplicación de esta técnica.
