Human resources must he considered a strategic factor, not only for their role in strategy implementation, but also for the potential they have to he a source of sustained competitive advantage. In this respect, the link between human resource management and strategy has given rise to a growing interest, and it has been analyzed under different approaches. This paper goes deeply into this analysis and provides additional empirical evidences, which contribute to determine if human resource management practices or systems vary with firm strategy.
