The language of the cinema uses many rhetorical and discursive procedures in order to draw the spectators's attention. This is possible, among other elements, through the titles. We will try to show the strategic, intertextual and mnemonic character of a recurrent procedure in film titles: the "desfijación". After defining this concept, we will proceed to a semantic description that justifies the reason why these unities use idioms, set phrases or other fixed sequences. Finally, we will explain the formal procedures employed for the "desfijación" of these sequences, and, consequently, to obtain the new discourse: the title
