This research is destined to analyze the data from a precedent one developed in 1991, with a similar methodology (Mancini-Pellegrini 1994), to shed light on the evolutive tendences. In Italy it has been recorded radical political changes from the 1991 research conclusions, political changes which have influenced, together with other factors, the journalistic profession, its structure and over all its relationship system with politics. Also for this reason is interesting to see the effects and dimension of these changes. Differently from the 1991 research, which was a comparative study, this present research has been exclusively limited to Italian journalists.
