Seit der Klonierung des Cannabinoid-1-Rezeptors (CB1) im Jahre 1990 und der Isolierung des ersten Liganden Anandamid zwei Jahre später gelten umfangreiche Bemühungen der Charakterisierung des endogenen Cannabinoidsystems. Vorliegende Arbeit untersucht im menschlichen Gehirn mittels in situ Hybridisierung die mRNA-Expression der wichtigsten Enzyme des Anandamid-Metabolismus NAPE-PLD und FAAH. Des Weiteren wird durch Immunhistochemie, in situ Hybridisierung und RT-PCR das Verteilungsmuster des CB1-Rezeptors beschrieben.
