Status Analysis of Outdoor Community Facilities in the Apartment House Complex

This study is intended for Seoul Area of the Apartment Complexes which were selected as the grand prize and general grand prize in "2000 ~ 2008 The Best Apartment to Live in". The research content was to analyze the status of the detailed facilities of outdoor community facilities in the complexes after reviewing installation standards of them. It finally analyzed location and characteristics of them in 'The Best Apartment complexes to live in'. The analyzed result is as follow : First, facilities were installed in order of sports facilities (11Kinds)���rest facilities(6kinds)���waterscape facilities(5kinds)��� playing facilities(1kinds). And there were the most various kinds in sports facilities. Second, as for the characteristics of outdoor community facilities, playing facilities were differentiated by adding the learning function to the children's playgrounds. Installation of ecological ponds, Biotope, etc were increased in waterscape facilities as people are gradually interested in environmental friendly things. Installation of various golf putting fields and gate ball fields were done in sports facilities. Benches, pergola and low wooden benches which were variously placed in rest facilities are used by the residents' community places. I think that the future study should investigate space analysis from the users' aspect and problems of community facilities by evaluation of the residents about the outdoor community facilities in the apartment house complex
