Closed-loop space-time block codes (STBCs) for four, five, and six transmit antennas using phase feedback have been proposed. In this paper, we propose two-phase feedback scheme for eight transmit antennas with rate one. By using two-phase feedback, the channel-dependent interference terms can be removed and maximum likelihood (ML) decoding complexity can be reduced. In addition, the closed-loop quasi-orthogonal STBC (QO-STBC) with receive antenna selection is examined. For eight transmit antennas and up to five receive antennas, performance gains up to 6.7 dB are achieved over the closed-loop QO-STBC without antenna selection
