In this paper, a numerical study of flow field and heat transfer characteristics of a confined slot jet impingement on moving plate is presented. The jet impingement with the plate moving velocity, which varied from zero to 1.5 times the jet velocity, was numerically analyzed in turbulent flow regime of the jet Reynolds number ranging from 10,000 to 20,000. For the moving impingement plate, the stagnation point moved in the same direction as the plate movement and more flow exhausted through the downstream exit. The critical impingement plate velocity was defined as the velocity at which the whole jet flow started to exhaust through the downstream exit and the critical value ranged between 0.6 and 0.7 times the jet velocity.
