Due to high spectral-efficiency of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission techniques, IEEE 802.11n WLAN system adopted a single-user MIMO (SU-MIMO) scheme in which multiple symbol streams are transmitted from a single station (STA) to enhance the system performance. On the other hand, recently, adoption of a multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) scheme for multi-packet reception (MPR) in uplink WLAN has also attracted attention.
