This paper proposes novel method to widen bandwidth of a slot antenna for mobile handset. The proposed method is adding rectangular loop and high dielectric material to a simple slot antenna for controlling resonances. Fundamental and two harmonic resonances can be converged within operation bands because the proposed method provides non-uniform resonance shifts. The bandwidth remarkably enhances from 320MHz (1900{2220 MHz) to 880MHz (1750{ 2630 MHz) by using the proposed method
