Total synthesis of (-)-dactylolide

Figure Presented Multiple metals in action: Relying on the prowess of various metal-catalyzed C-O and C-C bond-forming reactions, a concise asymmetric total synthesis of (-)dactylolide has been achieved (see scheme).
