Objectives/HypothesisTo investigate the clinical significance of arterial stiffness in the development and prognosis of idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL). Study DesignA prospective case-control study. MethodsFifty-four adult patients with idiopathic SSNHL and 54 age- and sex-matched controls were evaluated between January 2014 and May 2015. Arterial stiffness was assessed from brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV), and other cardiovascular markers including blood pressure, body mass index, and lipid profiles were determined.
