Integrins are αβ heterodimeric transmembrane proteins implicated in various physiological and pathological processes. Currently, α5β1 integrin is considered as a relevant therapeutic target in oncology, particularly for the treatment of glioblastomas. These highly aggressive brain tumours are resistant to current therapies, notably by their ability to invade healthy brain tissues.
