Lactic acid production : a new concept

Die fermentative Laktatproduktion aus Bioabfall mit den nativ vorkommenden Mikroorganismen wurde anhand physikalischer, biochemischer, chemischer und mikrobieller Daten evaluiert. Implementiert als ein zusätzlicher Zwischenschritt in der derzeitigen Bioabfallbehandlung, erhöht die Laktatherstellung den Mehrwert des Bioabfalls und trägt zum Umweltschutz bei. Die im Rahmen der Dissertation erhobenen Daten weisen darauf hin, dass die Implementierung eines solchen Zwischenschritts die derzeitige Abfallbehandlung optimieren können.The utilization of biowaste for lactic acid production applying the indegenous microorganisms was evaluated applying physical, chemical, biochemical, and microbial/molecular methods. The implementation of a lactic acid production step within current biowaste treatment could increase the exploitation of biowaste potential and contribute to environmental protection.
