RESUMEN: El problema de estimar poblaciones de tamaños muy grandes es muy recurrente en la actualidad y es de gran utilidad en campos como las ciencias sociales o la biología. Centrándonos en los métodos semiautomáticos, vamos a considerar dos métodos de muestreo para estimar el tamaño o número de partículas de una población a través de fotografías fijas de la misma. La diferencia entre ambos va a radicar en si tomar una única ventana de muestreo o una rejilla de ventanas de muestreo.
