This diploma thesis deals with the effects of the forth technological change on the world of work, notably on the basis of the production industry. Because of new digital developments and application possibilities in the industrial production, the issue becomes the centre of interest. The purpose of this study is to show the chances and risks regarding the fourth technological change. The implementation progress in companies concerning digital technologies should be explained. Therefore, the implications of the digitalization, the demands on employees, the challenges for human resources and the significance of flexible working arrangements are considered.
