International audienceThe present paper focuses on the modelling of the Mullins effect in elastomers. Different approachesrespectively based on physics, damage mechanics and the two-network theory are presented. Thepros and the cons to their formulation and finite element implementation are discussed. It appears that allthese approaches are complementary and present different limitations due to their formulations
