Enseigner l’Aménagement dans un département de Géographie : évolution des rapports disciplinaires à partir du cas de l’Université Paris Diderot

International audienceWhile the Paris Diderot University was created (1971) around an interdisciplinary project, this article proposes to study the relationship between geography and spatial planning within geography studies. The methodology is based on archival work at the national level (as part of a doctoral research) to characterize the evolution of French universities and for the case of Paris Diderot courses it is based on a series of interviews and an archival work from the presentation documents of the degrees and courses. The results are organized around a chronological approach. In the 1970s, the spatial planning is an application of geography while it has a certain epistemological crisis. Then in the 1980s, spatial planning became a vector for the professionalization of geography studies in order to bring the university closer to the job market. Since the 1990s, the spatial planning becomes more and more autonomous which modifies the relationship to geography.Alors que l’Université Paris Diderot a été créée (1971) autour d’un projet interdisciplinaire, cet article propose d’étudier les rapports entre géographie et aménagement au sein des études de géographie. La méthodologie s’appuie sur un travail d’archives à l’échelle nationale (dans le cadre d’une recherche doctorale) afin de caractériser l’évolution des formations universitaires et, à l’échelle de Paris Diderot, sur une série d’entretiens et un travail d’archives à partir des documents de présentation des formations et des cours. Les résultats sont organisés autour d’une approche chronologique. Dans les années 1970, l’aménagement est une application de la géographie alors que celle-ci connaît une certaine crise épistémologique. Ensuite au cours des années 1980, l’aménagement devient un vecteur de la professionnalisation des études de géographie afin de rapprocher l’université du marché du travail. Depuis les années 1990, l’aménagement devient de plus en plus autonome ce qui modifie le rapport à la géographie
