A copy of Epigrammata Antiquae Urbis annotated by André de Resende and Francisco de Holanda »The volume of Latin epigraphy at the National Library in Lisbon (Res. 1000 A1-3) brings together three books of ancient epigraphs published in the 1520s, notably Epigrammata Antiquae Urbis (Rome, Jacobus Mazochius, 1521). This volume belonged to the Portuguese painter and art theorist Francisco de Holanda (1517-1584) and played a role in his voyage to Rome in 1538-1540. We study the marginal notes and sketches of Holanda, as well as the contribution of his teacher and friend André de Resende, the great humanist and NeoLatin poet.Le volume d’épigraphie latine de la Bibliothèque nationale de Portugal à Lisbonne (Res. 1000 A1-3) regroupe trois ouvrages publiés dans les années 1520, en particulier l’Epigrammata Antiquae Urbis (Rome, Jacobus Mazochius, 1521). Ce volume a appartenu à Francisco de Holanda (Lisbonne,1517-1584), peintre et théoricien de l’art, et a joué un rôle déterminant dans son voyage à Rome en 1538-1540.
