Reliable and accurate coverage in Passive Coherent Location (PCL) systems requires the use of multiple transmitters of opportunity combined with multiple PCL receivers. FM based PCL is a fairly well developed technology, and is known to provide very accurate Doppler information. DVB-T2, in contrast, is still emerging as a viable illuminator of opportunity for PCL applications. This paper presents the results from a recent measurement campaign, where co-located FM and DVB-T2 PCL systems were used to detect commercial aircraft in the vicinity of Cape Town International Airport
