OBJETIVO DEL ESTUDIO: evaluar la variabilidad genética adaptativa de las poblaciones de castaños (Castanea sativa Mill.) Del sur de España en relación con la explosión de las yemas y el estrés hídrico. ÁREA DE ESTUDIO: Andalucía (sur de España) donde muchos castaños se abandonaron progresivamente y se han "naturalizado". MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS: un total de 126 castaños de ocho poblaciones se evaluaron por medio de nueve loci microsatélite genéticos (marcadores de repetición de secuencia simple de etiqueta de secuencia expresada) relacionados con la explosión de yemas y el estrés hídrico.
