Vibration damping is an effective strategy to enhance the life-cycle and performance of mechanical components. In this regard passive control systems involve lower costs and are easier to implement but their bandwidth is limited, whereas active systems provide larger bandwidth and higher adaptability to dynamic loads but higher costs and complexity are required.
