Note:Mergers between enterprises in one country are covered by the antitrust regulations of the country in which the enterprises have their legal headquarters. The more the enterprises involved have subsidiaries in other countries or the participants of the merger come from different states also these countries become interested in the effects of the concentration in their economic system. This leads more and more to investigations, control and interferences by national antitrust authorities with a conduct which was formerly regulated only by one national state body.
