El presente trabajo explora las limitaciones de algunas suposiciones utilizadas recientemente por diferentes autores1 en las investigaciones sobre la prehistoria inicial de las Baleares. Se concluye que, en base a la evidencia radiocarbónica disponible actualmente, no se puede afirmar sólidamente que la presencia humana en las Baleares sea anterior al 2300 cal aC. Las dataciones realizadas a partir de colágeno de herbívoros introducidos permiten establecer, con una p > 95%, que la llegada de los humanos a las Baleares es, como mínimo, anterior al 2050 cal aC, mientras que las realizadas sobre colágeno de humanos apuntan, con mayor incerteza, a que la llegada de los humanos fue anterior al 2100 cal aC.Some of the assumptions introduced by di...
