Several different strategies are used by support staff. These include cryotherapy, contraxt baths, nutrional intervention, compression garments, massage, active recovery and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. Ice/cold water immersion is a relatively new and popular recovery strategy derived from cryotherapy
