This paper describes a project being undertaken at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth that aims to enhance the pedagogical process through the use of collaborative design. It describes a survey that highlights dissatisfaction with certain pedagogical processes in computer science education and examines the extent to which these problems can be addressed. The paper describes how students are encouraged to use a tool capable of co-operative working in an attempt to enhance their learning experience and increase their understanding of the concepts of Object Oriented Design
