In a class setting it enhances the learning process and, when added to cooperative learning centres, results in growth of pupil confidence, pride, and self-esteem. This research project was done with the participation of twenty-five grade four French Immersion students. Project results indicate that the self-esteem level of pupils increased when they were invited to participate in a series of cooperative learning centres.
