REPRESENTASI DAKWAH ISLAM DALAM FILM KOMEDI (Analisis Semiotik Dakwah Islam Dalam Film Wa’alaikumusallam Paris)

The Wa’alaikumsallam Paris film was produced by Yoen K in 2015, and released early on March 16, 2016. The film was produced by Maxima Picture where production house established on December 9, 2004 by Ody Mulya Hidayat and Yoen K. house production this has resulted in more than 20 films since his first film. This film genre is comedy, drama, due to the lack of delivery of propaganda through comedy and therefore, we propose a problem that is how the representation of the propagation of Islam in the comedy Wa'alaikumusallam Paris? While the purpose of this study is to investigate and explore how Islamic Propagation represented by a character in the comedy movie Wa'alaikumusallam Paris. This study uses Charles Sanders Pierce semiotic analysis with qualitative interpretive approach. There are 4 stages of the analysis of the first phase of classifying scene using scene breakdown table. The second phase, the selected scene is analyzed using a triangular triadic process of meaning. The thrid stage, researchers categorize the characters based on the analysis in the first phase. The last stage, the researchers describe the results of the identification data such as the discussion of The results of research and analysis of the data shows that in the film Wa'alaikumusallam Paris found signs that represent the Islamic da'wah, which concluded that the propaganda is propaganda bil-hal or propaganda act, where the figures represent propaganda with good deeds such as charity or alms science, worship together etc
