The major purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self concept and career goals with a group of prospective women teachers. The study also sought to determine whether significant differences existed between self concept and career expectations among the women subjects and whether significant differences existed between a group of prospective women and men teachers based on career goals in education and self concept. In addition the investigation sought to determine whether significant differences existed in self concept and career goals among prospective women teachers when categorized according to age, marital status, teaching level preparation, size of home community, and parents\u27 education.
