Purpose of the Study. The intent of this study was to survey selected alternative high schools to describe the characteristics commonly employed in their curriculum engineering processes. Therefore, the study attempted to do three things: (1) Describe the nature of the curriculum development process utilized in alternative high schools. (2) Describe a projected proposed curriculum development model. (3) Describe and develop an evaluation plan for the proposed curriculum development model. Design of the Study.
