The birth of long distance radio communications made the world such a small place. Marconi's transatlantic experiment was the first pioneering attempt in this area. His experiment was conducted on the 12th of December 1901. Ever since the question of the correct frequency of transmission has been an area of speculation. The problem that is being solved here is in this regard only. To calculate an acceptable frequency of transmission the experiment is studied from the concerned aspects. First the antenna patterns are calculated for both the transmitting and the receiving antenna, at three different frequencies, 166 kHz, 9.375 MHz and 12.5 MHz.
