Housing and protection of agricultural land in the municipality of Postojna

The graduation thesis analyzes the needs of housing on one hand and the protection of agricultural land on the other, all this in the area of Postojna municipality. The first part of the thesis deals with residential problems in Slovenia and in Postojna municipality. It analyzes the data about housing in Postojna and the need of building new residence, based on SURS' data. The thesis analyzes Municipal spatial planning of Postojna, namely whether the expanding residential neighbourhoods is predicted and how the protection of agricultural land is taken care about. The second part of the thesis deals with agriculture in general, protection of agricultural areas and some of the more important regulations concerning the protection of agricultural land in Slovenia. Agriculture in the Municipality of Postojna is presented and municipal spatial planning of Postojna is analyzed, especially how the protection of agricultural land is taken care about. It is found that the municipality of Postojna has no bigger needs\ud for new housing, so housing is expected on a smaller scale. While making the Municipal spatial planning, Postojna has taken into account regulations and policies made by the government. While expanding housnig, best agriculture land has been protected and minimally burdened
