Graduation date: 1985Rapid Prototyping is a technique that has been created\ud to alleviate some of the problems inherent in the traditional approach to software development. Various prototyping\ud techniques currently employed are presented. The user interface aspect of system design is studied and where the benefit of prototyping user interfaces lies is shown.\ud A tool to aid in the design of user interfaces is\ud presented. An experiment which used this to measure the\ud effect that prototyping has on user satisfaction of user\ud interfaces is examined.
