This paper looks at Simple Knowledge Organization System (SKOS) to investigate how faceted classifications can be expressed in RDF and shared on the Semantic Web. This paper first restates a definition of faceted classification, shares a faceted taxonomy, restates the definition of the Semantic Web and RDF, then looks into the SKOS standard and the PoolParty software to build a faceted taxonomy in an SKOS compliant format. This paper then discusses the research approach
