This research examines the influence demographic variables and self-efficacy have on career commitment of librarians in federal university libraries in Nigeria. The standardized self-efficacy scale developed by Schwarzer and Jerusalem (1993) and revalidated in 2007 with a reliability coefficient of 0.81 was used for data collection. The outcome of the research showed that demographic variables and self-efficacy had significant influence on career commitment of librarians working in federal university libraries in Nigeria (F (9; 352) = 11.058, p \u3c 0.05). The study revealed that demographic variables and self-efficacy accounted for 20% (adj R 2 = 0.2000) in variability of career commitment of the respondents
