An offshore wind farm system is proposed utilising a VSC-HVDC connection. The wind farm will contain variable speed wind turbines driving Squirrel Cage Induction Generators (SCIG). The study will look at the electrical performance of the generators with real wind data and the design control implications with a VSC-HVDC link.
