Análisis de la accesibilidad Web para las bibliotecas públicas colombianas

The present article will attempt to emphasize the importance of libraries in the Web environment in relation to the supply and interchange of information that is accessible to everyone, with the end of improving the quality of the contents on the Net. At the same time, it will concentrate on the most important concepts of applicable Web accessibility with the object of studying, verifying and analyzing the fulfilment of the basic criteria of Priority 1 Level A accessibility. In the same way, it will formulate a method developed for the analysis and evaluation of accessibility of the Web pages of Colombian Public Libraries, presenting information regarding the state of accessibility. Finally, it will suggest recommendations for improvement, regarding information obtained and in accordance with the guidelines of accessibility set by the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative
