El control de constitucionalidad en Colombia 

From the very beginning of the concept of state, has sought a reference on which to rest the authority of this over other institutions, the current reference is the supremacy of the constitution which is immersed the origin, characteristics and foundations of constitutional control. This idea then evokes the effective protection of the Constitution through an institutional body, a protection that has evolved through different stages until it reaches the court and integral control of the constitution. In that vein Constitutional Control is characterized mainly by directly applying the constitution above all other rules of the nation, and thus its application and interpretation by the Constitutional Court obliging the other state bodies through the so-called constitutional precedents. In Europe under these precedents may point additives, hortatory and manipulative. Colombia has received and extended these theories through simple constitutional precedents, and partial or delayed by the preceding module which is the subject of interpretation, the inclusive constitutional precedent, the declaration of unconstitutional state of affairs and previous interpretation of fundamental rights. All of the above noted authority on the effects in time and space by the Constitutional Court itself.Desde los mismos albores del concepto de ESTADO, se ha buscado un referente en que descansar la autoridad de este sobre el resto de instituciones, ese referente actual es la supremacía de la constitución donde se encuentra inmersa el origen, características y fundamentos del control constitucional. Esta idea entonces evoca la protección de la eficacia del texto constitucional a través de un órgano institucional, protección que ha ido evolucionando por distintos estadios hasta llegar al control jurisdiccional e integral de la constitución. En ese orden de ideas el Control Constitucional actual se caracteriza principalmente por aplicar de manera directa la constitución por encima de todas las otras normas de la nación, y de esta manera su aplicación e interpretación hecha por el Tribunal Constitucional obligue a los demás órganos del Estado a través de los llamados sentencias constitucionales. En Europa dentro de estas sentencias se puede señalar los aditivos, los exhortativos y los manipulativos. En Colombia se han acogido y ampliado estas teorías a través de los sentencias de inconstitucionalidad simple, parcial o diferido y también a través de los sentencias modulativos cuales son los de interpretación condicionada, el sentencia constitucional integrador, la declaración de estado de cosas inconstitucional y el sentencia interpretativo de derechos fundamentales. Todo lo anterior con potestad de señalar los efectos en el tiempo y espacio por la misma Corte Constitucional
