International audienceIntroductionThe incidence of traumatic ruptures of the Achilles tendon has been increasing since the early 2000s. Many surgical techniques (percutaneous, minimally invasive) and non-surgical techniques exist. The objective of our study is to evaluate the functional recovery at one year of recoil after open suture of the Achilles tendon with the Achilles’ Traumatic Rupture Score.Material and methodsThis was a retrospective monocentric study of the 53 consecutive patients who had surgically treated open-cast traumatic Achilles tendon rupture between 2010 and 2016 at Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital.
