International audienceA theoretical model has been formulated with which the scavenging of aerosol particles and the redistribution of the scavenged aerosol particle mass can be followed during the process of condensation and the subsequent collision-coalescence growth of the formed drops. For this purpose a parcel-model with entrainment was formulated for describing the condensation growth and the nucleation-scavenging of aerosol particles. Added to it was a stochastic collision-coalescence model. Coupled with these models was a stochastic model which allowed to follow the aerosol particle mass which entered the drops as a result of nucleation scavenging, impaction scavenging, and as a result of collision between the drops
