The effects of interstitial hydrogen on the elastic softening, the martensitic transformation and the critical temperature of Nb\u2083Sn were studied. Using internal friction as a diagnostic tool, it was found that the martensitic transformation temperature is decreased with hydrogen and completely suppressed for 3c 0.6 at %H. For these small hydrogen additions, the onset critical temperature is increased to 3c 18.4K. For higher concentrations of hydrogen, Tc decreases as previously reported and softening of Young's modulus is almost entirely suppressed.Peer reviewed: YesNRC publication: Ye
