As part of the OBE Work Package 2 commitments to the Euro-Basin programme, we have complied a data set on variables related to Carbon Export (the biological carbon pump), which gathers over 5900 observations distributed accords the Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean, the Atlantic sector of the Arctic Ocean and the high Arctic, and the Mediterranean Sea. The main purpose of this compilation is to have as many observations available in a single dataset that can be accessed easily. There is already ongoing work using this data set with the aim of generating algorithms that can be used to parameterise carbon export in biogeochemical models
