Abstract

Background: Current therapies for lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to bladder-neck dyssynergia (BND) have many limitations. Objective: To determine efficacy and safety of OnabotulinumtoxinA (BoNT-A) injection therapy in medically-refractory patients with LUTS due to BND. Design, Setting, and Participants: Prospective single-armed cohort study. Therty-five consecutive ambulatory males, younger than 50 yr and diagnosed with BND refractory to medical therapy, with IPSS>15, Qmax<15 ml/s and total prostate volume <30 cm3, were screened from January 2010 and December 2011.
